Duty of candour
The Scottish Government website has guidance and further information on the Duty of Candour procedure, which is a legal duty that sets out how organisations should tell those affected that an unintended or unexpected incident appears to have caused harm or death.
Contractors providing General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) in Scotland are legally required under the GOS Terms of Service to have, at each place at which they provide GOS, relevant notices and leaflets prominently displayed that provide further information on GOS and patient eligibility for NHS optical vouchers.
