Possible management by Optometrist
Treatment
- Tear supplement / ocular lubricant if mild ocular irritation is present
- Consider ocular/orbital involvement in patients on anticoagulation
- Retinal haemorrhage
- Diplopia
- Proptosis
Advice
- Reassure patient
- Condition usually clears within 5-10 days
Management Category
- Management to resolution
- If recurrent, advise patients on anticoagulation to see general practitioner for INR
